Colouring Pages

Stapled into the middle of each issue of Story Teller 1 and 2 were the popular colouring pages, based on the stories featured in that particular issue. They were very popular, and now they’ve been collated into two neat files that you can download. The Song Book pages are included with Story Teller 2.

Story Teller Archive Access Database

This is a searchable Access database of the stories from ST1 and ST2. It was originally available from the now defunct Story Teller Archive website by Stephen Bates. Please note that you will need to have Microsoft Access to be able to open this database.

Story Teller TV Adverts

For the launches of Story Teller 1 and Story Teller 2 and, I think, Little Story Teller as well, two different adverts were produced per series making a total of six TV adverts. We have managed to locate just three, one for ST1 and two for ST2.

Timbertwig Christmas Poster

This was the Timberwig poster that was inserted in the first Christmas Story Teller. It is the same illustration that appeared on the front cover of the magazine.

Story Teller 1 and 2 Flyer

When the last issue of Story Teller 2 was published, Marshall Cavendish produced this four-page flyer for both Story Teller 1 and 2 to advertise their continued availability in newsagents.

The Story Teller 1 Flyer

This flyer came as an insert in Part 1 of Story Teller 1. I believe there is another version of this flyer, with a different family in the cover photo. It is now very difficult to find copies of either version.

The Story Teller 2 Flyer

This flyer was inserted in latter issues of Story Teller 1 to advertise the launch of the second collection. There were at least two versions of this flyer. One folded out into a poster of Timbertwig (the front cover illustration used in the first Christmas Story Teller) and another version had a poster previewing stories in Story Teller 2.

The Little Story Teller Flyer

A single sheet, double sided flyer promoting Little Story Teller. I believe this was inserted in copies of Christmas Story Teller 2.

Christmas Story Teller Flyer

A single sheet, double sided flyer promoting the first two Christmas editions of Story Teller. When Christmas Story Teller 2 was published, the first Christmas Story Teller from the previous year was also put back on newsagents’ shelves.

Leaflet

A sample of the leaflets inserted in every issue of Story Teller to advertise binders, cassette cases and back issues. Earlier leaflets contained special offers for the binders and cassette cases.
